The passing of a legend
Jazz guitarist, innovator, inventor and music legend Les Paul died today at the age of 94. A successful recording artist with his wife Mary Ford and The Les Paul Trio, he went on to invent the electric guitar and major innovations in multitrack recording. His famous Gibson Les Paul has been a large part of music history and the guitar of my dreams since I began playing in my mid teens. Les Paul continued performing late in his career and played in the Iridium Jazz Club in New York every Monday up to 8 weeks before his death. He’ll be missed.
