Taking away my favourite things – Discontinued products I miss

First it was malt-flavoured Muffets, then Pond's skin cream, then Alberto VO5 Conditioning Hairdressing (no longer in stores but still available online for now) and the final indignity, Bick's Zesty Onion Relish. These are just a few of my favourite products that are no longer sold. Why are some items picked for annihilation and other lesser products remain on store shelved for generations (Aqua Velva!!) even though they're of lesser quality and are absolute crap? I have no idea how or why but I looked into the demise of a few of my favourites and this is here's what I discovered. Some time ago I was scouring the internet for a list of furniture stores on United Boulevard in Coquitlam, the area commonly referred to as Mecca for furniture shoppers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a comprehensive list or even a web site to help me with my search. The tiny gears in my head started spinning, the light went on, I yelled "eureka!" then promptly forgot all about it. Until about a month ago. Two Recommendations

I'm not big into recommending stuff to people I don't know but I thought some of you may enjoy these two completely unrelated visual and gastronomical items: RECOMMENDATION #1: If you enjoy quirky and inventive movies I sugest you see Kick-Ass. Yes, I know...it sounds like another dopey teen superhero flick and you're partially right. It starts out with the typical socially inept, Peter Parker-type main character that morphes into the film's superhero but it becomes uncharacteristically dark about 30 minutes in. Once you've heard an 11-year old girl use the 'C' word, all bets are off.
