I think it's time we legalized lynching as punishment for hackers that deface, destroy or hijack websites. I speak from experience because this blog has been attacked numerous times over the past year and cost me hours of time spent picking malicious code from the hundreds of files that make up this blog. So why do these scumbags do it? There's a variety of answers to that question but most are attempting to inject iframes or other bad code into pages allowing them to reroute traffic or deliver malware to unsuspecting site visitors. And then there's the little bastards that sit in their basements and troll the net looking for vulnerabilites to exploit. But, whomever these miscreants may be, they should all be dragged from their homes, strung up left…

Bad people and their bad dogs

The little girl you see on the left is Finley, a 3 year old female miniature Sheltie with, according to his owner, an insanely upbeat disposition. She was attacked by a much larger dog and seriously injured in April. The owners of the dog that attacked little Finley didn't respond to their dog's attack, didn't offer help, didn't do anything other than leave. Quickly. The above picture of Finley is actually a happy picture. She's lying in the sun outside Canada West Vet Hospital, recuperating from her injuries and doing what dogs do best, sleeping. Inconsiderate, irresponsible and obnoxious dog owners are everywhere, even in my neighbourhood as mentioned in a previous post. Our politically correct world has gone off the cliff with the recent decision by Earls Restaurant to remove their Albino Rhino products because two (!) persons afflicted with albinism have complained to the human rights tribunal. That's right, TWO fucking people complained and that was enough to scare Earls into removing any reference to Albino from their menu. Because TWO fucking people complained. What the hell is going on out there? Peanut allergy mania, comfort pets on planes, minorities screaming racism at the drop of a hat, perfume bans in offices, smokers relegated to back alleys. It takes a certain amount of douchiness to rob your employer, especially one that you've only known for a three days. Such is the tale of woe from Chris Parry, part-owner of Vancouver's fabulous Fray Restaurant, when he hired Michael Bothner to replace his departing front-of-house manager. Michael seemed to be keen, motivated and up to the task. But after only three shifts he stopped showing up for work, coinciding with the theft of the restaurant's nightly cash drop. Coincidence? Possibly, but it all points to a douche-bag who would sign on to gainful employment then slip a thieving knife into the backs of honest business owners who did nothing more than offer him gainful employment.
