Irresponsible A-holes

It's well known that some dogs just don't like other dogs. Our dog Benjamin and a neighbour's dog just a block away don't like each other for some unknown reason and waste no time barking and posturing whenever they meet. They've had 3 run-ins over the years and we keep Benjamin on a leash at all times on his walks primarily because of this dog, however our neighbours are not nearly as responsible. My wife was out with Benjamin shortly after Canada's gold medal hockey win (Go Canada!) when they came across his arch enemy out for a walk with his owners on the trail behind our home. They didn't have their dog leashed and, ignoring their useless and feeble "Stop" and "Sit" commands, he charged our dog and latched…

Two more deserving recipients of the AprilRoad.com Rants and Observations AOTW Award... Jill from Chelco Farms Rescue recently reminded me about the case of David Whiffin and Clayton Cunningham, two people that give new meaning to the word scumbag. These miscreants allowed a 27-year-old Appaloosa gelding named Jalupae to starve then tied its neck to the bucket of an excavator, raising it so the horse was off the ground. It died from strangulation. Try to imagine that event for a moment. Try to imagine the pain and suffering these two bastards inflicted on that innocent animal and for no other reason than they couldn't be bothered to take care of it. If I was interested in dinosaurs and had a club that tried to convince other people to be interested in dinosaurs, I'd want to spread the word about dinosaurs, right? Right. So I would approach the local elementary school and ask them to allow me to spread the word about dinosaurs in their school every noon hour of every school day by offering dorky dinosaur club meetings. But if the school wasn't interested in my dorky club and refused to allow me to run my dorky dinosaur club meetings would I be upset and start screaming about my rights? Probably not. Jeremy Pete and Bethany Granholm

Remember über parents Jeremy Pete and Bethany Granholm who attempted to sell their week-old baby on Craigslist last year? They claimed that it was all just a 'sick joke' and Bethany even proclaimed young Jeremy a "bit of a dick" (isn't young love wonderful?). Well these two wankers are at it again. And they got caught...again. This time our intrepid young couple were quite busy with a prosperous new credit-card theft business. The Winnipeg police say they were involved with a group of scammers who used stolen and forged cards to rack up about $80,000 in charges. In total, seven people have been charged in the theft following the purchases of jewellery, electronics, limousine trips and airline tickets. These kids really know how to live, huh?
