Dazed and confused

Olympics, People, Rants, Silly Stuff
It's not enough that we Canadians are polite and courteous but we're also quite aware of countries and people outside our own borders. So it's exceedingly painful when we witness NBC News goofballs Meredith Vieira and Matt Lauer bring new meaning to the words 'confused and uninformed' as they offer this fascinating discourse while toasting marshmallows on Whistler Mountain. Behold our neighbours to the south as they continue to know little or nothing about their neighbours to the north unless it has something to do with Celine Dion...

Tim Minchin

People, Silly Stuff
We stumbled across an amazing comic talent from Australia by the name of Tim Minchin. He has three concert DVDs available and corresponding audio CD's for each, all of which are brilliant, hilarious and highly entertaining. The 'beat poem' below is a good example of his wit but his skill on the piano is amazing (I'd like to hear his serious music if he ever gets around to recording something). I've also included Inflatable You for your viewing and listening pleasure which is the song he sang on the Graham Norton Show which is where we originally saw young Mr. Minchin perform. The bad news is that I had to take it down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories but two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as many drivers almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't…

Imagine living next door

Of Interest, Silly Stuff
Here's my vote for most the most insane Christmas lighting display. Try to watch the 45,000 lights and 176 channels of computer control all the way through because it only gets more outrageous (make sure you have your speakers turned on). Holdman Christmas Lights of Lindon, Utah is responsible for this aural and visual headache and, oddly enough, they also sell Tahitian Noni Juice, a selection of landscape photography greeting cards and stained glass. Can you say DIVERSE? I wonder what Mary, Joseph and the little guy would think of this...
