Tom Harrison Interview

People
I sat down with Tom Harrison yesterday for the April Road Podcast and chatted about the music business before and after the Internet, his vast vinyl collection and some of his favourite bands. As with the CKNW broadcast below, listen to this broadcast and compare the Internet in 1994 to what is available now. It's staggering how much things have changed in such a short period of time. Note: Since that show in 1994,…

Erik heads down under

People
Erik Rolfsen got the call yesterday from Queensland, Australia, Tourism Minister Peter Lawlor advising him he's one of the 16 finalists for the Best Job In The World contest. He will be heading to Australia for a competition with the other 15 finalists from May 3 to May 6. He's the only Canadian chosen to compete in the competition and we're hoping he wins the thing and shows the world how great Canadians really are. You can listen to Erik discuss the contest on the April Road podcast page and we hope to have a followup interview in the next few days.
