Some time ago I wrote a piece on a humorous website and it's Australian author, David Thorne. It was a glowing report of what I thought were hilarious email exchanges between Mr. Thorne and his victims. They were hilarious. Well, until he stole my money. Only July 23, 2010 I decided to purchase his book, The Internet is a Playground, and ordered it directly from his website. I was expecting a 1 or 2 week wait. Over a month later I dropped him a note inquiring on the status of my book order. No answer. Two more idiots have been rescued after snowboarding out of bounds on Cypress Mountain. Their excuse was they "were just attracted to the snow". I wonder how attracted they are to dying in the cold? Perhaps it's time we left these morons to their own devices if they refuse to stay on the designated slopes and insist on venturing into dangerous territory. Perhaps after a handful of these twits got lost and died on the mountain the others might smarten up and stop wasting the resources of police and rescue personnel who risk their own lives to save their sorry asses. The world is full of assholes but I seem to run across my fair share on a regular basis. The newest recipient of the AprilRoad.com 'Asshole of the Week' award is Simon Swanwick, a New Jersey resident who managed to waste almost 5 hours of my time and have the audacity to berate me for it. This guy is truly a treat. Here's the story in a nutshell: I offer users of an open-source bulk email software system a variety of services including installation, configuration and tutoring. This idiot contacted me requesting I install the software on his web server, configure it and then walk him through the process of creating and sending messages. Another Killer Set Free

Darnell Pratt will be released from prison in June after serving less than five years of a nine year sentence for killing Grant De Patie. Mr. Pratt was caught stealing gas in a stolen Chrysler LeBaron and Grant, an employee at the Esso station, attempted to stop his car from leaving the lot. Grant was run down by Pratt and dragged to his death beneath the stolen vehicle. According to a friend of Pratt's to whom he confided after the murder, he was fully aware there was a body under the car as he sped away and heard Grant's screams as he was being dragged to his death. De Patie's body, naked except for tattered clothes around his ankles, was found 7.5 kilometres from the Esso station at the end…
