Back in the early 90's my brother and I started a small business we called The Net Brothers. We offered software installation, configuration and tutorials to help businesses and a few home users access the Internet. It was a tricky business back then and most people that wanted to access the Internet had problems finding software, configuring their dial-up modems and a variety of other technical issues that have since all but disappeared. Things have changed significantly since those early days and the Internet is now accessible by practically everyone, replacing many of the services and products we used and supported back then. Is Twitter worth your time?

I'm still unsold on the recent Twitter phenomenon. The ability to post quick notes to 'followers' defies logic and brings to mind the CB radio craze of the 70's. I follow a few people on Twitter such as Lance Armstrong, Al Gore and John Mayer. Here's a sampling of Lance Armstrong's tweets over the last few days: - Good morning. Erik heads down under

Erik Rolfsen got the call yesterday from Queensland, Australia, Tourism Minister Peter Lawlor advising him he's one of the 16 finalists for the Best Job In The World contest. He will be heading to Australia for a competition with the other 15 finalists from May 3 to May 6. He's the only Canadian chosen to compete in the competition and we're hoping he wins the thing and shows the world how great Canadians really are.
