Apple’s Lost Phone

Internet, Of Interest, Technology
The story is that an Apple engineer named Gary Powell left his iPhone 4.0 prototype in the Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, California. It was 'found' and delivered (sold) to tech web site Gizmodo.com and they did the only thing nerds know how to do...they took it apart, took pictures and posted everything on their web site. Apple executives must have shit their collective pants after Steve Jobs began work on the iGuillotine for the Apple campus complete with an iBucket for the heads of those responsible. Apple is famous for their marketing secrecy and they create and culture the hype associated with their new product launches. And then there's the competition. The VSB Porn Workshop

Internet, People, Rants
Shocking! Horrifying!! 15 employees at the Vancouver School Board maintenance facility on Clark Drive have been caught looking at naughty pictures on the Internet. Quick...close all of the schools and protect our innocent children!!! Please dear God..protect the children!!! Yes, it's true. A number of lascivious, perpetually stimulated employees have been suspended with pay and the children are safe. Parents be advised that our school board is on guard against all naughty bits on the Internet. Phew...that was close! So these employees were looking at porn rather than doing their jobs. Keep in mind that the Internet was officially launched in 1969, just a few weeks before the Woodstock Music festival so this bit of video is a bit Nostradamus-lke, don't you think? The first two are relatively straightforward but the third can still be somewhat of a challenge for those dependent on web sites and peer-to-peer file sharing systems such as Limewire to find music and video. There's something called BitTorrent that's quite popular but it's dependent on users leaving their computers running and files available for download (reducing everyone's bandwidth in the process) which can be problematic when you're trying to download large files. It's good in a pinch but there's something much better out there that most are completely unaware and offers a rich bounty of information and files. It's called UseNet and it's something you should…
